160th Anniversary - Eberhard Celebration Sunday May 23, 2010

In conjunction with the 160th Anniversary activities on Sunday , May 23, 2010, we will celebrate The Rev. Dr. David Eberhard’s 30th anniversary as head pastor of Historic Trinity Lutheran Church , and his 51st year in the ministry in Detroit. This is not a retirement party! A reception will be held in the Huegli Auditorium from 9:15a.m. to 1:30p.m. Take this wonderful opportunity to celebrate with Dr. and Beverly Eberhard in their tremendous achievement of service to the church and the Metro- Detroit community. Also, this is a great time to offer prayers of thanksgiving to our Lord, for the faithful and caring ministry of Dr. Eberhard and Beverly to the people of the Historic Trinity family. When they came to Historic Trinity 30 years ago, they came with a bold vision for this church, in downtown Detroit, with a membership of nearly 50. They have worked tirelessly and steadfastly, in service to our Lord and Savior, leading this congregation (which now exceeds 2,000members) forward into the 20th century, with dauntless faith. We pray that the Lord will continue to bless, strengthen and watch over them, as they, through the grace of God, have blessed us, the members and friends of Historic Trinity Lutheran Church."
