This next week, July 11 thru July 18 our family will be celebrating my and Bev’s 50th wedding anniversary, and my 50th year as a pastor. Our immediate family, hopefully all 21 of us, will gather at two summer homes on the west side of Michigan, on Lake Michigan. Its hard to realize that 50 years have past. All those memories well up within us all. Those 50 years as a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a Lutheran clergyman have been packed with powerful blessings. Boy, could I tell you some fascinating stories about people, places, and events that have been such a part of my life. Yes, time marches on - the body wont let me do all I’d like to do - but I will not give up the vision for today and into the future. Thnaks everyone for making us a part of your life.

Freedom Festival
DOWNTOWN FREEDOM FESTIVAL - today
We are blessed to live in a land of freedom and, especially, blessed to be placed on the border of two great countries- the United States of America and Canada. On Sunday, June 28th, special worship services were held at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., at Historic Trinity, celebrating the friendship between Detroit and Windsor. The St. Andrew’s Society Pipe Band (bagpipes and drums) performed during these services. We were all inspired by the performance of "Amazing Grace" by the bagpipes, drums, and organ. I preached on these blessed freedoms "Let Freedom Ring", and I was assisted by the Cathedral Pastors of Historic Trinity.

This was our first partnering event and was well received. We were pleased to see those who attended, 125 persons, enjoy the evening and the sharing of the good news of Christ.
Starting UP
Well here goes, I'm going to try to learn how to develop a blog for additional communications to all of Historic Trinity's memebers and friends.
